This year, Diabetes UK, the charity that runs Diabetes Week, is focusing on the health checks people need when they have diabetes. Regular diabetes health checks are important to keep those with the condition healthy and able to live their lives fully. Twelve-year-old Tahlia, who has type 1 diabetes, spoke to Newsround about what it's like: "When you first get diagnosed, you have lots of training and it seems like you won't be able to remember all of it, but you you can try these out will remember all of it!"
