Error: No content files found. You will rarely see me stitch a video, but this one had me fired up so I wanted to clarify some things ⬇️ ❌Eating carbs doesn’t lead to weight gain. ❌Having your blood sugar & insulin rise after eating doesn’t make you gain weight. This is supposed to happen when you eat carbs to keep you ALIVE, and this is not something worth stressing in the know about (as chronic stress can actually increase your blood sugar too but that is a topic for another day). Am I saying that you should ONLY be eating carbs and eating carbs by themselves? No. Pairing carbs with a source of protein & dietary fats will have a more favorably glucose response than when eating by themselves, but many people do this helpful hints by default by having mixed meals. In some cases, eating a higher carb diet in the context of being a high level athletes who is using glucose at a rapid rate may be the healthiest dietary choice to make. In short, don’t get your nutrition and health advice from a fitness influencer just because they are lean. In many cases, all this does is spread fear and disordered eating behaviors on to others that will cause more harm than eating a piece of toast.
